Conference Highlight:  Keynote Panel on Global Climate Change

An international panel of distinguished senior scientists and executive directors will headline this keynote panel on the important issues surrounding global climate change.

Information technology, cross boundary data sharing, and modeling are all important tools that can help us respond to an overarching need for improved observations of global warming, including disaster warning, global land cover, sea level, drought, and air quality.   Why and how innovative computing and information technology is critical to international efforts to understand and mitigate global change will be the focus of this keynote panel.

The panelists are Robert Worrest, Chief Scientist, CIESIN, Peter van Puijenbroek, Senior Scientist, MNP, and Richard P. Hooper, Executive Director, CUAHSI.
