dg.o 2008 Call for Papers
The Call for Papers has gone out for the Digital Government Society of North America's 9th annual conference, dg.o 2008, to be held at the Hilton Bonaventure Hotel in Montreal, May 18-21, 2008. Major support for the conference comes from the US National Science Foundation. The conference theme "Partnerships for Public Innovation" focuses on information-intensive innovations in the public sector that involve linkages among government, universities, NGO's, and businesses.
Interested participants are invited to submit management or policy papers, research papers, or student research papers, as well as proposals for panels; industry, government, and research prototype demonstrations; posters, Birds-of-a-Feather discussions, and pre-conference tutorials and workshops.

Elections Coming Up
The Nominating Committee is now being formed to solicit candidates for the open positions of officers and board members of the Society. Elections will be held in November of this year and new officers and board members will begin serving their terms on January 1, 2008. Sharon Dawes is heading up the Nominating Committee, along with Chris Hinnant (GAO).
Anyone wishing to serve on the Nominating Committee, or interested in running for office should contact Sharon Dawes, Chris Hinnant, or Lester Diamond. We welcome candidates from government, NGO's and academics, and from all three countries in North America.
New Library Resources
Take a new look at the Library and Archives at the DGSNA web site. Providing a unique benefit , this resource gives members access to an End Notes Library which includes over 2,100 peer-reviewed articles, the majority of which are downloadable, compiled by Jochen Scholl and his students at the University of Washington.
Workshop Reports from the National Science Foundation's Digital Government Research Program dating from 1997 are housed at the Library. Direct links to all dg.o Conference Proceedings including conference reports, research papers, posters and demos, Birds-of-Feather sessions and keynote summaries are also available to members, and are searchable on their home base at the ACM Digital Library.
The library contains links to web sites of interest, online journals, newsletters, reports series, government portals, international information sites, and lists of related research and policy organizations. The DGSNA Library is now a convenient access point to a growing array of relevant e-government information and publications.
